It is important to provide accurate information regarding recent discussions and concerns about 2020 Daniels Road (end of Daniels road) and the Patapsco River. Let’s clarify misinformation and share important facts regarding the property and our continued environmental efforts.
Clarification Regarding 2020 Daniels Road and the Patapsco River
We would like to provide accurate information to address misinformation that has been shared online, as well as through mailed and emailed communications regarding 2020 Daniels Road, located at the end of Daniels Road.
We have not polluted the Patapsco River.
The Patapsco Heritage Greenway is involved in this study. The non-tidal Patapsco River undergoes annual water testing and evaluation at 11 locations along the Patapsco River.
Woodbine, Sykesville, Marriottsville, Woodstock, Daniels, Sucker Branch, Miller Run, Old Ellicott City, Bull Branch, Avalon, and Deep Run.

We are pleased to share that in 2023, 2024, and 2025, the Daniels area maintained an “B” water quality rating.
Community Involvement & Environment
Eddy’s Welding cleans trash in the Daniels area of Patapsco State Park and keeps grass maintained. Every weekend, litter is often left throughout roads, parking lots, and surrounding areas. This includes aluminum cans, glass bottles, plastic, diapers, toilet paper, and also bodily waste is left along the riverbank as well. They dedicated their time to remove or paint over graffiti and markings on concrete barriers. These efforts help maintain the beauty and cleanliness of the Patapsco area.
All of this work has been done voluntarily, without compensation. JD Eddy takes great pride in helping care for the neighborhood and surrounding environment.
In addition, Bruce Penn, a longtime resident of Daniels Road, voluntarily helps clean trash along Daniels Road. He has generously did so for many years and is known for his positive attitude and commitment to the community.
Environmental Monitoring
The owner of 2020 Daniels Road hires an environmental consultant to collect water samples on the property. These samples are sent to a certified water-testing facility, and reports are submitted quarterly to theMaryland Department of the Environment (MDE).
If any issue or violation is identified, it is corrected immediately to help protect the environment and maintain compliance. We all care deeply about the neighborhood and the preservation of the Patapsco River.
There has been a particular individual that has talked multiple false accusations about the owner of 2020 Daniels Rd. This particular individual has called Maryland Department of the environment multiple times but through all of this we have not been cited with any citation. This particular person has destroyed their credibility with the false accusations. we are still in good standings with MDE. We have all the correct documentations to stand up to the truth This particular individual need to look in there own backyard
Regarding Violations and Legal Matters
A violation on a property is the same as a warning, as if a police officer gives to a driver of a car. You have the opportunity to correct a problem without a citation
An individual or company has the legal right to contest a citation in court.
